Triumph Tiger 885i/955i Vacuum Hose Kit – IACV & ECU–Airbox
Combined replacement vacuum hose kit for fuel-injected Triumph Tiger 885i and Tiger 955i models. Includes the three idle air control valve (IACV) hoses and the airbox-to-ECU hose, complete with elbow connector and replacement airbox grommet.
Design and Fit
The silicone hoses are supplied cut to the lengths required for the original Tiger routing. The ECU–airbox assembly includes an elbow connector and a flexible TPU grommet to replace the original airbox fittings.
OEM references replaced:
- T1242501 ×2 and T1242502 ×1 — IACV hoses
- T2201245 — airbox-to-ECU hose
- T3020025 — airbox grommet
- T2100405 — elbow connector
Materials
AP Automotive silicone vacuum hose provides resistance to heat and ageing while remaining flexible. The hose wall thickness prevents collapse under vacuum in this application.

The replacement airbox grommet is designed and 3D printed by Tiger Forge Designs in TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), selected for its flexibility and resistance to wear and repeated movement.

Fitment & Compatibility
| Triumph model | Year(s) | VIN / production range | Compatibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tiger 885i | 1999–2000 | 71699–124105 | Fuel-injected models only |
| Tiger 955i | 2001–2006 | 124106 onwards | Both VIN variants |
Not suitable for carburetted Tiger 885 models.

Fitting Notes
IACV hoses
Remove the fuel tank for access. Replace the three hoses one at a time to preserve routing, seating each fully without kinking or trapping it.
The IACV unit serves both three- and four-cylinder Triumph engines. On these three-cylinder engines, with the unit in its normal fitted orientation, the three left-hand ports connect to the throttle bodies; the far-right port remains unused and blanked.
Airbox-to-ECU hose
- Fit the grommet into the airbox, using a little silicone grease or washing-up liquid to ease installation.
- Follow the original hose route from the airbox to the ECU and push the hose fully onto the ECU connection.
- Push the elbow into the installed grommet, lubricating lightly if needed.
Fit the grommet before inserting the elbow. The elbow expands it to create a secure fit and vacuum seal; inserting it first makes installation harder and risks elbow damage.
Secure the hose to the frame with cable ties if required, without overtightening or crushing it. Check all connections and routing before refitting the tank. Hoses and fittings should be checked as part of your routine maintenance.

Whilst the tank is off, inspect the fuel tank mounting rubbers for compression, cracking or deterioration. See our Triumph Fuel Tank Mounts – T2400603 Replacement.

Note: This is an aftermarket replacement kit. Inspect the hoses and fittings as part of routine maintenance.
