July has been another busy and productive month at Tiger Forge Designs, hence the late appearance of the Forge Update. Our latest foot peg rubber development has moved from CAD and prototype into real-world testing, the TFD World Tour has welcomed another rider after a 600-mile tour of Wales, and behind the scenes I’ve continued improving the website while progressing several future product ideas.
From CAD to Real-World Testing

This month, our new Triumph foot rest rubber replacement (OEM T2080227) has reached an important milestone by moving from CAD development into real-world testing. Designed as a direct replacement for a discontinued OEM part, the aim has always been to reproduce the original fit, appearance and function as closely as possible, while incorporating improvements only where they offer a genuine benefit.
These footrest rubbers are a good example of why Tiger Forge Designs exists. Triumph has discontinued the original part, leaving owners reliant on new old stock or worn used parts. While genuine ones can still be found, they are expensive, creating the need for a high-quality, affordable replacement.
The latest prototypes are now being evaluated by selected riders across the UK and as far afield as Australia, providing valuable feedback on fit, comfort and long-distance usability before the final production version is released.
Another pin on the TFD World Tour

One of the highlights this month has been welcoming another rider to the Tiger Forge Designs World Tour.
Faisal recently completed a 600-mile tour of Wales while testing our latest Triumph foot peg rubber prototypes. His journey included a stop at the famous Devil’s Staircase near Llanwrtyd Wells, adding another pin to the growing World Tour map.
I’d like to thank Faisal for taking Tiger Forge Designs along for the ride and for the valuable feedback he’s provided. Real-world testing like this is an important part of the development process, helping ensure every new product is ready before it reaches customers.
Whether it’s a local Sunday ride or an adventure on the other side of the world, I’d love to see where Tiger Forge Designs products take you.
Stick it. Snap it. Submit it.

New Products

While development continues, several new products have also been added to the Tiger Forge Designs range this month, including:
- Triumph 955i Airbox to ECU Vacuum Hose Kit
- Norton Fuel Tank Mount (NM16237)
- Norton Tank Bolt Rubber (NM22082)
- BSA/Triumph Side Panel, Oil Tank & Tool Box Mounting Rubber (82-6673)
- BSA/Triumph OIF Fuel Tank Rubber (83-4932)
Each has been developed with the same goal as every Tiger Forge Designs product—providing practical, high-quality replacements for parts that are increasingly difficult to source.
Become a Product Tester
One of the most rewarding parts of developing new products is seeing them used by riders in the real world. While workshop testing is essential, nothing compares to honest feedback from people using a product on everyday rides and longer tours.
If you’d like to help shape future Tiger Forge Designs products, applications to join the Product Testing Programme are always welcome. Selected testers receive development products free of charge and every test part is yours to keep.
There are already a growing number of development projects in the pipeline that are likely to require real-world testing in the future, including:
- Triumph switch cube switches & joystick replacement components
- Throttle spacers – Triumph & Ducati
- Triumph gear select lever rubbers
- Cush drive rubbers
- Classic British motorcycle rubber components
- And plenty more ideas waiting to get on the workbench
Looking Ahead
Development never really stops at Tiger Forge Designs. With more reverse-engineering projects already in the pipeline, there’s plenty to keep the workshop busy over the coming months, and I look forward to sharing that journey with you in future editions of Forge Updates.
Thank you for taking the time to read this month’s update. Whether you’ve placed an order, shared a product idea, joined the TFD World Tour or simply followed along with the latest developments, your support is genuinely appreciated.
Until next time, ride safe and keep enjoying the journey.
